TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - The City of Tifton is looking to sell off some property.
They are looking to get rid of over 300 surplus items, which includes everything from police units, trucks, tractors and even smaller items.
City leaders are hoping the items will bring in big bucks as previous sales have.
Council addressed the surplus list during Monday’s work session.
“I think it was two and a half years ago, it was almost $70,000 worth. I’m anticipating that (the new auction) bringing in the same type of amount. We have everything from cars to computers to mowers to tractors,” Pete Pyrzenski, Tifton city manager, said.

.-MoMA PS1 presents the first New York museum exhibition of the work of visionary feminist artist Niki de Saint Phalle (American and French, 1930‒2002). On view from March 11 to September 6, 2021, Niki de Saint Phalle: Structures for Life features over 200 works created from the mid-1960s until the artists death, including sculptures, prints, drawings, jewelry, films, and archival materials. Highlighting Saint Phalles interdisciplinary approach and engagement with key social and political issues, the exhibition will focus on works that she created to transform environments, individuals, and society.
Bat used by Lou Gehrig in 1938 sells at auction for $715,120
Gehrig gave the bat, which was made from ash, to Earle Combs, a onetime Yankees teammate and coach who, like Gehrig, was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, the company said.

.- A baseball bat used by Lou Gehrig at the twilight of his legendary career with the New York Yankees sold for $715,120 over the weekend, the company that auctioned it said Sunday.
The bat a 34-inch, 36-ounce Bill Dickey model Louisville Slugger was used by Gehrig in 1938, his final full season as a key cog in the early dynasties of the Yankees franchise, according to SCP Auctions.

The plastic holder Jack Lambert used to keep his false teeth in sold for some big money at auction this past weekend.
Bidding wrapped on Saturday, and the winning bid for the holder was just under $20,000.$19,914 to be exact!!
In addition to the holder, there were 22 other Lambert items up for bidding, including a game worn helmet that sold for $48k.
